UVa Baseball

Everyone is healthy-ish. The weather is incredible. So we brave going to the UVa baseball game this afternoon at 5 p.m. Christopher was invited to go by the Jefferson Foundation, and they let us tag along, paying for our tickets, food, and box seats. It was a sweet deal.

Megan was great. She ate three bites of hot dog, a chicken finger, and about 25 Starburst.

Gavin, on the other hand, after being sick for weeks and hopped up on all kinds of drugs, had other ideas about the baseball game.

In what would become an embarrassing scene, I decided to take Gavin home, and he was for some reason obsessed with this elevator at one end of the ballpark. I had to get to the other side of the ballpark, but to do this involved much weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth. Christopher had to come down for back-up, and we all ended up walking back to the car, well before the 7th inning stretch. More like the 5th inning stretch.

Sad to say, we’ll have to catch a game another day.
