Gavin’s first week of preschool finished with a family picnic at the National Zoo. He loves his teachers and classmates, and I feel so blessed that he actually got in. Everyone is so nice–gotta love Methodists. They maintain a “substantial” waiting list and jaws drop when I tell people we moved here this summer and Gavin is starting Calvary. But the Lord knows what I need, and despite my cavalier “oh, Gavin will just stay home this year” attitude, the Lord knows both Gavin and I will benefit from this.
We started our zoo trip at the Kids’ Farm.
Poor Benjamin had a hard time. I think this is the first picture of him crying. He later came down with a fever and stuffy nose.
He didn’t cry for long.
These seals provided endless entertainment.
