Pictures

I know what you’re thinking. We haven’t taken many pictures lately.

Well, there are a few reasons for that.

First, the weather has been horrible. The sky is dark and the light is bad, and you know how I hate flash photography. Cloudy skies are great for picture taking, but not when it’s 35 degrees out.

Second, my children are having a less-than-photogenic week. Megan came home with a black eye after a playground collision. Gavin desperately needs a haircut, and at this point I just as soon wait until a few weeks till Easter. And Ben, with his four molars and stuffy nose, is drooling so much he leaves a trail when he crawls. Don’t get me wrong, my children are gorgeous. Just not very photogenic. This week.

Third, my hands are just plain full. Most of the major events of the week were impossible to capture. I would love to get a few shots of Gavin jumping into the pool, for example, but I’m usually in the pool, with one hand on Ben and the other one close to Gavin.

So you’re just going to have to be patient. Warmer weather is a-comin’, my friends, and with it, more pictures!

(And here are a few random ones…)

  1. Girl, I'm sure hoping you are right about the warm weather coming soon. I LOVE the picture of the three kids waiting on y'all to go to church. That looks like a picture that should be in a magazine!

  2. I love the picture of the kids ready for church. They look so calm and well trained, haha. I'm usually rushing and going crazy from lack of sleep on Sunday mornings. Early church with kids isn't fun.

  3. I'm sure you're not liking your weather, but you should come here for a couple days and you'd go back thinking you were living in Hawaii. It really is crazy right now. Be glad you got out when you did.
