Day 17 — My worst habit

I am a sometimes nail biter, but my worst habit is probably complaining. I’m working on it, because seriously, who likes someone who whines all the time? I have a couple of Facebook friends who post nothing but statuses about how tired they are, or how rotten their kids are, and it’s a drag. On the other hand, people who are constantly grateful are such a pleasure to associate with. I’m somewhere in the middle, but hope to move toward the side of gratitude.

Especially because I heard of a family at church that found out their almost-three-year-old little girl has an inoperable brain tumor. I can’t imagine how their world has changed, and the shock and grief they are feeling. Just thinking about their pain made me more patient with Benjamin tonight.

  1. Oh, I don't think you are a complainer at all. Now you can't ever complain because I'm going to be lookin' out, and I'll call you out on it! :-)Seriously, I think you are a realist, but not even a little bit of a complainer. That is one of the reasons I like you so much. The story of that sweet little girl is heart breaking. Will add that family to my prayers.
