Farewell, School; Hello, Summer

Monday was the last full day of school. The kids had Field Day and Megan had her 5th grade party. The weather was gorgeous and we played outside on the trampoline and with water balloons. Christopher even swam across Beaver Lake with a friend.

These pictures show Logan’s sense of humor. He had a water balloon that Ben took away and broke. He looked like he might start crying until I made a funny face and he cracked up.

Tuesday was the last day of school. The kids were home by lunchtime and bored an hour later. The little guys were sick with snotty noses. I went out for a much need Girls Night.

Wednesday, our first official day of summer vacation, was about 55 and drizzly. We put on Keens and hoodies and went to the park anyway. We took a friend for Gavin. Thursday was just as rainy and I’m counting down the days until our warm weather kicks into gear. Thankfully the weekend is supposed to be sunny!

  1. I hope it warms up for you soon. The post entitled “boys” had me laughing and crying at the same time. I think I am in for the same thing. I can’t believe Megan is done with elementary school!
